This is a group project that I had created for my 3D Animation Production class.
I was responsible for creating the character concepts, modelling of the alien creature, texturing and rigging the alien, some animation, sound and the final edit.
Emerging Practices W12 – Final Delivery

After 12 long weeks, I am finally finished. I present to you my Emerging Practices final delivery piece that I have appropriately titled “Experiment Vol.1″(hopefully the first of many more experiments to come).
Emerging Practices W11 – Unreal Engine
So far I have been able to produce 2 mini projects from each program that I will use within my showreel with the exception of the Unreal Engine where I have only produced half of one. I had stated in an earlier blog that UE was a formidable beast and I wasn’t kidding. I have spent most of my time and watched the most tutorials on it and yet I have very little to show for it. But why?
Emerging Practices W10 – Houdini & Cinema 4D continued
In my original research proposal, I had issued a question which was that I wanted to see how Cinema 4D and Houdini would compare to each other in terms of their abilities in 3D procedural animation.
Emerging Practices W9 – Unity revisited
The outcome of my project is to be able to make an aesthetic showreel centring on the assets made from each of the explored programs. On top of the aesthetics, it is equally as important that I demonstrate my understanding of these programs and that I didn’t just blindly follow online tutorials without learning anything.
